Among 36 countries competing in the individual shooting competition at the European Petanque Championship held in Santa Susana, Spain from July 13 to 20, the captain of the Armenian national team, French-Armenian Michel Khachadourian, won a silver medal, losing to a French athlete. For the first time in the history of Armenian petanque, the first silver victory in the French petanque sport was recorded thanks to Michel Khachadourian.
